The Holidays, Hollywood, and The Economy

However, with the state of the economy, it looks like the studio and network executives are doling out lumps of coal this year when it comes to holiday cheer. Of course the first budget cuts are going to be frivolous elaborate parties where the masters of the universe come together to congratulate each other. So if you’re looking to network, contribute to a good cause, or even have a good time here are a few events that are still happening: The Hair & Makeup Artist Network – Networking Dinner benefiting Toys for Tots. Showtime – Showtime will throw its holiday party for execs and talent on Dec. 4 at an estate in Hancock Park. It will be hosted by Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks and feature a Nora Ephron-directed performance of “You Can’t Take It With You” starring the couple.
