Do You Ever Wonder Why Artists Use Social Networking Sites ?

michelleWhether you like it or not, social networking websites are very much a part of our everyday lives. Most Hair & Makeup Artists are on at least Myspace and/or Facebook. There are so many social networks out there it can be overwhelming. So aside from keeping up with your friends, do you ever stop to wonder what the point is? I mean, why is it so important to be on these social networking sites? Aside from the obvious reason of networking, the point is to create an online presence and drive traffic back to your website. This is how the internet works:

1. You create your dream website which is your key marketing tool.
2. You then attach key search words that you would like search engines to find your site under.
3. Next you drive traffic back to your site by posting your information on social network sites.

The idea is to have a link to your website posted in as many places online as possible. The more places your site is mentioned and the more people that visit your site, the higher your website will show up in the “Google” search. Your ultimate goal is to get your website to work for you and it’s just pointless to have a site if no one sees it. If this all seems too much to manage, then hire a virtual assistant to run your social networking websites.
